Project Hope Restored

Project Title: Hope Restored: Renovation of Gefia Basic School

Location: Gefia, Akatsi District, Volta Region

Led by: Royal Altar of Grace Ministry Foundation

“Education is the seed of tomorrow—and we chose to plant it with love and grace.”

What many saw as a forgotten structure, we saw as a sacred opportunity. The Royal Altar of Grace Ministry Foundation, moved by compassion and guided by purpose, stepped into the Gefia community to renovate a nearly collapsing school building that had long suffered from neglect.
The school was in a dire state—broken windows, cracked walls, leaking roofs, and classrooms too unsafe for learning. Children sat on the floor, exposed to dust, distraction, and discouragement. Teachers did their best with what little they had, yet the environment made it difficult to nurture hope.
Through the grace of God and the commitment of our team and supporters, we:
Repaired the classroom walls and roofing
Repainted the building to give it a fresh, welcoming look
Fixed broken doors and windows for safety and ventilation
Supplied learning materials and desks for the pupils
Cleared and cleaned the school compound

“Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”— Proverbs 22:6

The transformation was miraculous. From fear to joy, from dust to dignity—the smiles on the faces of students and teachers said it all. For the first time in years, children walked into class with pride and excitement. A sense of renewed purpose filled the air, and the community itself rejoiced.
One teacher said:
“This is more than paint and nails. This is God answering our prayers.”

We give all the glory to God for making this possible and to every hand that gave, prayed, or participated. This project is a clear sign of what we can achieve when faith meets action and when a village is not forgotten.
But this is just the beginning. More schools await restoration. More children are still learning under trees. With your continued support, we will go farther, reach deeper, and build stronger.
